Evaluations, capacity building consultations, etc. are priced on a project basis, and include all relevant steps specific to that evaluation (e.g., needs assessment, consultations, data collection). Following the initial consultation, we meet with the organization to design an evaluation plan and timeline according to specific needs.

As an evaluation consultant with the Center for Teaching and Learning, Michelle had unique opportunities to work with faculty members across campus in many disciplines to evaluate aspects of their courses or to assist in learning outcome development. Some of these projects included:

• AACSB accreditation preparation
• Biology simulations
• Marching percussion band training

In each of these instances, faculty and staff gained greater visibility of the evaluated program and pinpointed specific improvements that have created greater efficiency and effectiveness for those programs.

By conducting a social impact assessment and assisting in the development of an annual report for the Deseret International Foundation, Michelle helped the organization to gain greater funding and networking opportunities, as well as to fine-tune their business model to bring increased surgical accessibility to developing countries.

Evaluation Capacity Building: Having the capacity to conduct evaluations internally requires a mindset of evaluation priorities as well as resource allocations. We help you understand the benefits and requirements of conducting your own evaluations to make a dynamic change in the way you do business - so that evaluation becomes a routine part of your organization and helps you build organizational self-reliance.

Consulting: To guide organizations in developing evaluation capacity, we offer consulting services at various levels: from evaluation planning, to assessment development, to interpreting results, to implementing evaluation practices.

Evaluations: From design to implementation, programs, products, and processes may change due to a variety of factors. We work with organizations to conduct external evaluations to provide a fresh, objective perspective of program strengths and areas for improvement.

Organizational Development: During the course of time, many programs filter in and out of organizations, often without attention to the effectiveness of those programs and how the organization (both parts and whole) works toward program success. Using Empowerment Evaluation, an approach designed to place evaluation tools in the hands of the organization, we work with organizations to develop mission statements, identify and prioritize evaluation activities geared toward the mission, and set goals and strategies to maximize the chances of evaluation program success.
