Evaluation Services
Michelle Baron Consulting, LLC offers a variety of evaluation options to meet your needs, whether you need a small survey or an extensive program review.
Evaluation Examples:
Evaluation Example - Education
As an evaluation consultant with the Center for Teaching and Learning, Michelle had unique opportunities to work with faculty members across campus in many disciplines to evaluate aspects of their courses or to assist in learning outcome development. Some of these projects included:
- AACSB accreditation preparation
- Biology simulations
- Marching percussion band training
In each of these instances, faculty and staff gained greater visibility of the evaluated program and pinpointed specific improvements that have created greater efficiency and effectiveness for those programs.
Evaluation Example - NGOs
By conducting a social impact assessment and assisting in the development of an annual report for the Deseret International Foundation, Michelle helped the organization to gain greater funding and networking opportunities, as well as to fine-tune their business model to bring increased surgical accessibility to developing countries.
Evaluation Example - Government & Military
As an Inspector General in the Army Reserve, Michelle conducted evaluations of military programs such as physical fitness, vehicle licensing, and medical records review. Evaluations of these programs resulted in greater monetary savings for the government, as well as program enhancement in each of those areas.
More Evaluation Services
Social Impact Assessment: Many profit and non-profit organizations engage in philanthropic pursuits for underprivileged groups, but what are the effects of these efforts on the target audience and society as a whole? Through social impact assessment we develop and implement metrics to ensure social goals are met and benefits are enjoyed by the target audience.
Organizational Program Development: During the course of time, many programs filter in and out of organizations, often without attention to the effectiveness of those programs and how the organization (both parts and whole) works toward program success. Using empowerment evaluation, an approach designed to place evaluation tools in the hands of the organization, we work with organizations to develop mission statements, identify and prioritize activities geared toward the mission, and set goals and strategies to maximize the chances of program success.
Learning Outcome Consultation: Educators at all levels want students to graduate with a firm understanding and an ability to apply what they have learned to business and social settings. We work with schools and other education organizations to develop active, realistic learning outcomes at the course, program, and college levels, and then ensure students are able to meet those outcomes through direct learning assessment activities.
Qualitative Inquiry: Numbers are one thing, people are another. Using qualitative inquiry, we go beyond the surface and conduct in-depth interviews and ethnographies of individuals and groups to reveal how programs, products, and processes have affected their lives.
Program, Product, and Process Evaluations: From design to implementation, programs, products, and processes may change due to a variety of factors. We analyze these evaluands to determine whether they have achieved their intended results.
Other Evaluation Services: We also handle small-scale projects such as survey development and implementation, and needs assessment.
